InsulationInsulation is being requested by our customers on a daily basis. With the cost of heating oil and natural gas increasing steadily, many people are seeking to better insulate their homes, even though their budgets are very limited. Virtually every day, a visitor to our store will ask if we have any fiberglass insulation batts.
RefrigeratorsRefrigerators continue to be one of the Building Materials Resource Center's most frequently requested items. We are seeking high-quality refrigerators that are relatively new (less than 5 years old) and in excellent condition, so that the recipients will have energy-efficient appliances that they can count on to last for many years. Landlords are not required to supply refrigerators, which is why so many people need them.
White paint (unopened cans)Our clients often request white paint to help them brighten up a room or spruce up a rental unit at our affordable prices (usually $5 or $6 per gallon). However, we can't always help them because we don't often have white paint in stock. We are seeking donations of white paint in unopened containers: interior or exterior; flat, eggshell, semigloss, or gloss. (Unfortunately, we can't use containers that have been opened or partially used.) Did you buy too much paint for a recent project? Do you have a connection at a paint manufacturer, distributor, wholesaler, or retailer? If so, please contact us.
