Hospital OutreachTuesday, May 06, 2008 - Thursday, December 31, 2009Help staff outreach tables at Boston area hospitals and medical centers. Describe Hospitality Homes to potential guests and hosts, hospital staff, and others. Must attend brief training session. Weekday availability required.
Office SupportTuesday, May 06, 2008 - Thursday, December 31, 2009General office support, including filing, assistance with mailing, assembling packets for guests and hosts, and computer-based tasks. Orientation to Hospitality Homes provided. Reliability and ability to work independently on assigned tasks required, as well as daytime/weekday availability.
Host FamilyTuesday, May 06, 2008 - Thursday, December 31, 2009Provide housing for families traveling to Boston for a loved one’s medical care. Requires spare furnished room and access to a bathroom for guest. Group training and home visit required. Hosts are able to determine frequency and length of guest visits. Urgent needs: Host homes near Longwood Medical Area, Massachusetts General Hospital, and very close to green and red MBTA lines; handicapped accessible buildings; hosts willing to accommodate guests who stay for 1-2 months.
