World Computer Exchange is a global educational non-profit that helps connect youth in developing countries to the resources, opportunities and understanding of the Internet ~ while keeping working computers out of landfills. We have shipped over 26,000 computer sets to our 445 Partner organisations in 64 developing countries. With support from 700 volunteers, we have provided partners with assistance in project planning, partnership development, fund raising, shipping logistics, technology support, digital libraries, and responsible e-waste disposal. In turn, our partners have helped connect 2,500 schools, libraries, orphanages, and youth centres serving over a million youth per year. Assisting us in the US and Canada are 25 WCE Chapters of volunteers which help collect donated computers, prepare them for shipping, and raise funds for our projects. (more)
